Exotic dark spice and chocolate flavors are reminiscent of the finest cacao mixed with distant Asian spice. Much as early explorers traveled the world for new and exotic spices, this Cabernet provides an otherworldly sensory experience.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The Linville Cabernet Sauvignon represents a wine of singular flavor profile and distinction. It is compelling and complex, providing an otherworldly sensory experience. It has a foot in both the New and Old World with its exotic aromas of dark Asian spices and cacao followed by rich black fruit flavors underscored with earthy nuances. Drink now through 2040.
Winemaker Notes
Block 15 features a unique white soil called Rhyolite in the Laniger Soil Series, a fine sandy loam. The character it imparts to Cabernet is unmistakable, yielding a compelling wine that combines exotic spice elements with a rich chocolate character. The grapes are night-harvested by hand, sorted and destemmed, then undergo a 72-hour cold soak before beginning traditional fermentation with two pumpovers per day for 10 days. The wine is then aged in 90% new French oak from Allier, Nevers and Vosges forests.
