The 2017 Haggerty Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies the indelible character of the "See" Clone—pure cassis, Damson plum, and crystalized violet. As this classic Cabernet takes on French oak during aging, we see emerging notes of blonde Virgina tobacco, vanilla bean, Gianduja chcolate and Indonesian coffee. Imminently drinkable and intense from the outset, this will cellar well for 20 years or more.
Block 10B features the Goulding Soil Series, a mix of volcanic and sedimentary soil found on slopes with patches of rocky red clay. The soil, exposure and hillside elevation are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are night harvested by hand, sorted and destemmed, then undergo a 72-hour cold soak before beginning traditional fermentation with two pumpovers per day for 14 days. The wine is
then aged in 100% new French oak from Allier, Nevers, Vosges and Fontainebleau forests.

returned from the war to meet his toddler son and reunite with his young wife Ethel. He worked in a factory building tires until he earned enough money to buy a farm. The couple purchased property in Michigan along Haggerty Road and set to the task of farming corn, soybeans, and sod. Along the way, each of their four children learned the value of hard work, regard for the natural world, and a desire
for higher education.
