Blending is done for both red and white wines. This is not a process for the casual wine hobbyist. Each barrel, block and all combinations therein must be tasted, blended at different amounts, re-tasted, and then this is repeated and tested in ‘blind' trials. In short, we will spend a lot of time exploring each barrel from each section of the vineyard block to capture both the terroir and best aspects of each vintage.

Of course, when the bottled wine is enjoyed at dinner, at a party or at restaurant, most people are not pondering all these passionate details of the process. And that is something that we strive for. If we have been successful, the wine can be seamlessly enjoyed with family and friends.
